# match13

match13 has lots of numbers, some of which are interesting

### Seasons

Every season from 2002 to 2026 is here. The 2021 season was cancelled, so that year holds the at-home challenge and no matches. The live season is 2026. A page shows another season when its URL carries a year parameter.

## Ratings

xP rates a team by the points it adds to an alliance, above what an average team of that season adds. A rating moves after every match a team plays, so a team that improves through a season is shown improving.

### Predictions

Every match carries a predicted score for each alliance and a win probability, built from the ratings of the six robots in it. A prediction is frozen the moment the match is played, so it can be read afterwards against what happened.

### While an event runs

Results arrive within minutes of an event posting them. Every match played moves the ratings, the rankings and the predictions for the matches still to come.
